How To TRULY, DEEPLY Love Yourself (No Matter What Mistakes You’ve Made): Conversation With Roxann Burroughs

We all desire to be happy. We all desire to have so much love in our relationships but that only happens when we have a great relationship with ourselves first.

Many of us know this.

Yet, this is easier said than done for many because we have learned to feed the seed of victimhood instead of feeding  the seed of happiness.

We get fixated on the dark side within us especially if we have not had the most positive experiences in our childhood such as we’ve had a parent thought they were raising us well by being harsh on us or pointing out everything we’re doing wrong….or if we were abused, bullied, had traumatic experiences and so on.

These experiences teach us to believe that what everyone says about us or does to us are true. The result of that is low self-esteem which leads to self-loathing, depression, anxiety, struggle in relationships and the constant seeking for other people’s approval…..why?

Because that’s what we’ve learned and we don’t know how to else to do it…..

The problem is not what people said to us…the problem is that we learned to believe what people say about us without questioning the truth of that.

Except that now….you can question, you can find peace, you can forgive and you can have the best relationship you ever wanted with YOURSELF AND OTHERS.

This simple YET POWERFUL tool called “The work” helped hundred of thousands of people if not MILLIONS to turn around their life.

I have to say….it helped me turn around MINE and that’s why I want to share it with you through ROXANN BURROUGH’S INSPIRING STORY.

Ok..Ok…..Let me tell you what is THE WORK:

It is a process that you can use to question all your stressful beliefs about yourself, life, relationships, money, God….EVERYTHING.

The process is made of 4 simple yet POWERFUL questions and a turn around:

1- Is it true?

2- Can you absolutely know that it’s true?

3- How do you react and what happens when you believe that thought?

4- Who would you be without this thought?

and the turnaround.

It was founded by the wonderful Byron Katie in 1982 after she went through decades of suicidal thoughts, self-loathing and depression.

In today’s episode of The Happiest Self, Roxann Burroughs (Katie’s daughter) shares her personal story and how USING THE WORK for the past 30+ years helped her:

  • Love herself…..accept herself (TRULY) after being an alcoholic and being on drugs
  • Move past her anger towards her mother
  • Have peace and happiness in her life
  • Become a better mother and a better wife

But wait… you don’t need 30+ years to have what Roxann….has! The work will help you have more peace every single time you question those sticky thoughts! THAT I PROMISE YOU!

Roxann’s story is a big testimony to that! Let us know what you think!
